Andy Limbert ( Principal trainer and Owner ) is a Foster carer and Independent Social Worker who lives near the beautiful market town of Beverley in East Yorkshire.

Andy Limbert ( Principal trainer and Owner ) is a Foster carer and Independent Social Worker who lives near the beautiful market town of Beverley in East Yorkshire.
During his time as a social worker he has worked within different social care settings such as fostering, carrying out both assessments and supervision work. Additionally he has worked in a safeguarding capacity providing crisis intervention for families on edge of care situations. Some time working in mental health social work and the fields of substance misuse and gambling related harm are also part of his experience.
Added to this is 8 years of working with an innovative model of fostering developed by the Mockingbird Society in the USA as an Implementation Coach, working with many local authorities and services across the UK. This model is Licensed by the Fostering Network who Andy also works with in his capacity as an independent social worker providing much needed support and guidance to carers facing allegations and standards of care investigations, this is work he is passionate about and enjoys greatly .
Andy also sits as an independent panel member on fostering panels another facet of fostering which he loves to be involved in bringing his depth of knowledge and experience to his reflection and analysis.
Finally he has also worked across many fostering related projects helping to shape and deliver services more efficiently.
When he's not delivering training or working in other fostering related areas, he enjoys the mountains of Scotland and the Lake district with his border collies Scout and Bru and taking trips in his mobile office ( Campervan) to go Mountain biking, kayaking or surfing.
Our foster carer's training can be delivered virtually using either Microsoft Teams or Zoom the choice is yours of course, and also face to face should you require this method.
Standard modules are designed to be delivered in easily managed 2 hour segments which fit nicely around school runs etc. Longer advanced courses are also available

Additionally courses can be delivered twilight if needed ( 6-8pm) or Saturday Mornings

Times 10:00 am - 12:00 noon OR 12:30 pm - 14:30 pm
Delivered 10:00am - 13:00 pm OR 13:30 -16:30
Delivered 6:00 pm - 8:00pm
Delivered 10:00am- 12:00 noon only
Prefer face to face training, please contact us for further discussion due to variances in travel costs to different geographic locations. ( Venue provided by service)
Full Day training on single subject of your choice to include all course materials and an E-Resource pack
2 x 2.5 hour modules blended (subjects are linked so that carers understand related factors such as Safer Care blended with understanding allegations and standards of care or Developmental trauma and self harm) inclusive of course materials and E-resource pack
